It will be the first time that the conference has been located in Canada, with previous editions taking place in Australia, New Zealand, Germany, China, and the US.
Organised by the Metal Powder Industries Federation (MPIF), the three-day event will bring together experts on Powder Metallurgy and Additive Manufacturing processing of titanium and titanium alloys.
Conference co-chairs include: Louis-Philippe Lefebvre, National Research Council Canada; Vladimir Brailowski, ETS Montréal, Canada; and Mathieu Brochu, McGill University, Canada. Advisory board members comprise Zhigang Zak Fang, University of Utah, USA; Gang Chen, University of Science and Technology Beijing, China; Thomas Ebel, Helmholtz-Zentrum Geesthacht, Germany; Peng Cao, University of Auckland, New Zealand; and Qian Ma, RMIT University, Australia.
The PMTi2022 technical programme will cover a wide range of relevant topics including the following:
- Powder production
- Compaction and shaping
- Metal Injection Moulding (MIM)
- Additive Manufacturing
- Sintering
- Mechanical properties
- Microstructure vs property relationships
- PM Ti alloys including TiAl
- PM Bio Ti materials
- Modelling
- Applications
Authors wishing to submit a paper for the event have until the abstract deadline of April 1, 2022.
