Sweden’s Höganäs AB has launched a ‘Talent Development Programme’ to enhance its employees’ skills and strengthen its leadership pipeline. The twelve participants from the company’s facilities around the world recently gathered at Höganäs, where they met the CEO, Henrik Ager, and representatives from the company’s ownership group.

“By offering this programme, we want to make Höganäs an even more attractive place to work, and it is one of our activities for attracting, retaining and developing talent,” said Therése Jönmark, SVP HR and Communication, who initiated the programme.

The programme is scheduled to last for one year and aims to give participants an enhanced understanding of Höganäs’ global business, strategic direction, customer centricity and leadership capabilities.

“We also use several tools for self-assessments. The participants will be assigned a mentor, receive individual coaching, work with a challenge from the General Management team and conduct study visits to various organisations,” stated Lovisa Bergendal Lindstedt, VP Leadership and Competence Development, who is responsible for the Talent Development Programme.

Jana Lellau, Director of Business Control in Germany, and one of the programme’s participants, commented, “I am grateful for the opportunity to join the programme. I have learned a lot, and we are already a good team with a good mixture of people.”

Rahul Lokmanwar, Market Development Manager in India, added, “I feel excited, and I am looking forward to this journey. I especially appreciate the mentoring and training sessions and I will try to grow further during the programme.”
