“I am extremely happy to welcome Marc-Simon to Outokumpu’s Leadership Team,” stated Heikki Malinen, CEO. “Through this newly established role combining raw material and general procurements, we can ensure immediate synergies throughout our purchasing operations in, for example, mitigating the impact of cost pressure. In addition to that, implementing our raw materials strategy plays a key role in Outokumpu’s decarbonisation journey. Marc-Simon has extensive experience in various areas of Outokumpu which forms a solid basis to succeed in this important role.”

In March this year, the company announced the construction of a new atomisation plant at its facility in Krefeld, Germany. The company aims to produce metal powders suitable for Additive Manufacturing, Metal Injection Moulding (MIM), Binder Jetting (BJT) and Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP).
