K. Clive Ramsey, President of US Metal Powders, dies aged 82

K. Clive Ramsey who passed away on July 24, 2016

K. Clive Ramsey, President of US Metal Powders, passed away on July 24, 2016, at the age of 82 surrounded by family following a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Mitcham, near London, UK, Ramsey moved to the United States in 1970. He became President of US Metal Powders (USMP) in 1976 and subsequently acquired the company. Ramsey remained very active, running USMP until recently.

Ramsey attended the Tiffin School in Kingston upon Thames and then the University of London where he earned a Mechanical Engineering degree in 1957. After graduating, he took a job with Canadian Westinghouse and moved to Ontario, Canada.

In 1965, he met Ingrid Margrethe Friman while both were visiting Rome, Italy.  They married a year later and settled in St. Catharines, Canada before moving to Pottersville, NJ in 1970.  In 1978, Clive and Ingrid moved to Bernardsville, New Jersey, where they raised their family and resided for the past 38 years. Ingrid passed away in October 2015.
