UK Magnetics Society’s annual MMA event set for September
August 1, 2019
The UK Magnetics Society has announced that its annual two-day event on Magnetic Materials and Applications (MMA’19) will be held at the Villa Ida Lampugnani, Milan, Italy, on September 19–18, 2019. The event will be held in partnership with Laboratorio Elettrofisico as part of its sixtieth-anniversary celebrations.
The event will also host the NOVAMAG project for its project closure event. NOVAMAG is an EU project which aims to create novel, critical materials free, permanent magnets with high anisotropy phases, and has developed an automated large computational screening followed by experimental screening of new and novel intermetallic compounds with uniaxial structures.
The MMA’19 seminar will cover magnetic materials, their applications and related technologies with the aim of enabling the creation, development and cementing of relationships within the magnetics community throughout Europe and the UK. This event is chaired by:
- Dr Nick Simpson, University of Bristol, UK
- Matthew Swallow, Bunting Magnetics Ltd, UK
- Dr Maria Francesca Dell’Acqua, Laboratorio Elletrofisico, Italy
