November 21, 2012
Trinity Precision Technology Co., Ltd. (TPM), a manufacturer of Powder Metallurgy power tool parts and components in Taiwan, states that it was recently recognised by Bosch Group as the best supplier of Powder Metallurgy products in 2012, becoming the only Taiwanese maker to be so honoured.
TPM supply PM products to eight countries including Germany and Switzerland, the company achieved revenues in the first 10 months 2012 of NT$315 million (US$10.5 million).
The company recently launched the world’s first spiral-face-gear made by Powder Metallurgy. S W Wang, Vice President of TPM, stated that the “traditional spiral bevel-gear is widely applied in polishing machines, cutting machines, and automotive products, with market value reaching billions of US dollars. TPM’s spiral face-gear not only functionally replaces spiral bevel-gears, but helps customers reduce cost.” Commercial production of the product is expected to begin in 2013.
In addition to its Powder Metallurgy operations, TPM also set up a gearbox division in 2011, successfully developing the gearbox with a four-phase transmission, which is patented in various countries and used by a high-end German electronic-tool brand vendor, added Wang.
