products for many applications

TPM supply PM products to eight countries including Germany and Switzerland, the company achieved revenues in the first 10 months 2012 of NT$315 million (US$10.5 million).

The company recently launched the world’s first spiral-face-gear made by Powder Metallurgy. S W Wang, Vice President of TPM, stated that the “traditional spiral bevel-gear is widely applied in polishing machines, cutting machines, and automotive products, with market value reaching billions of US dollars. TPM’s spiral face-gear not only functionally replaces spiral bevel-gears, but helps customers reduce cost.” Commercial production of the product is expected to begin in 2013.

In addition to its Powder Metallurgy operations, TPM also set up a gearbox division in 2011, successfully developing the gearbox with a four-phase transmission, which is patented in various countries and used by a high-end German electronic-tool brand vendor, added Wang.
