The American Gear Manufacturers Association’s “Powder Metallurgy Gearing Committee” will meet February 21-22, 2012 in Fort Myers, Florida, USA. The committee evaluates materials, design, rating, manufacturing, inspection, and application of powder metallurgy gearing.

The committee will discuss the reaffirmation of:

  • AGMA 930-A05

    Calculated Bending Load Capacity of Powder Metallurgy (PM) External Spur Gears
  • ANSI/AGMA 6008-A98

    Specifications for Powder Metallurgy Gears

In addition, the development of AGMA 942 will be continued, which addresses materials used in the production of PM gears.
