Sumitomo Electric to exhibit at Japan’s Automotive Engineering Exposition 2018

Sumitomo Electric Industries, Ltd., Osaka, Japan, will exhibit its technologies at the Automotive Engineering Exhibition 2018, which is being held in Yokohama, Japan, from May 23-25, 2018, and in Nagoya, Japan, from July 11-13, 2018.
Sponsored by the Society of Automotive Engineers of Japan, Inc., the exposition is said to be one of Japan’s largest events for automotive technologies, and will this year feature products and technologies from an expected 500 national and international exhibitors.
Sumitomo Electric, together with its subsidiaries Sumitomo Wiring Systems, Ltd., and Sumitomo Riko Co., Ltd., will introduce its efforts toward ‘connected cars’ and distributed and coordinated electricity infrastructure utilising electric vehicles.
The Automotive Engineering Exposition was first held in 1992 as an exhibition for engineers and researchers active in the automotive industry. It has now grown into an exhibition with a broad base of supporters and currently offers a complete line-up of special exhibits, including workshops, special sessions and hands-on programmes. Over 80,000 visitors are expected to attend the event in 2018.
