Practical courses to focus on sintering technology
January 19, 2015
TAT Technologies has announced dates for two sintering courses taking place at the company’s training centre in St. Mary’s, Pennsylvania, USA, in March 2015.
The first course, “Preparation for Better Sintering,” will run from March 10-13, 2015. During the four day course students will learn why high quality preparation before sintering is highly desirable and how it can be completely and efficiently achieved. Experiments will teach students how to develop the most effective temperature and atmosphere profiles to accomplish the desired high quality preparation of ferrous PM parts across a broad range of weights, shapes, densities up to 7g/cm3, and compositions.
The second course, “Sintering – Ferrous PM,” runs from March 16-19, 2015. The course is primarily designed to empower students with solid practical production oriented knowledge of the conventional ferrous PM sintering process. Through a combination of classroom lectures, hands-on pre-designed experiments, interaction with the lecturer each day, small group team work, students will understand exactly what goes on inside a sintering furnace from beginning to end. In order to participate on this course students must first complete the above mentioned “Preparation for Better Sintering” course.
