PowderMet 2021 to be held as a hybrid event

January 26, 2021

The international conference on Powder Metallurgy & Particulate Materials (PowderMet2021), scheduled to take place at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin, in Orlando, Florida, USA, from June 20–23, 2021, will now be held as a hybrid event. Organised and sponsored by the Metal Powder Industries Federation (MPIF), this will now allow delegates to choose between attending in-person or online.

PowderMet2021 is a hub for technology transfer for professionals from every part of the industry, including buyers and specifiers of metal powders, tooling and compacting presses, sintering furnaces, furnace belts, powder handling and blending equipment, quality-control and automation equipment, particle-size and powder-characterisation equipment, consulting and research services, and more.

In addition to the technical programme, over 100 exhibitors at the trade show, and industry networking events, delegates will be able to view all presentations on demand for two weeks following the conference, regardless of in-person or virtual attendance.

The four-day event is co-located with the Additive Manufacturing with Powder Metallurgy (AMPM2021) and International Conference on Tungsten, Refractory & Hardmaterials (Tungsten2021) conferences.

“We know travel plans are uncertain right now, but we are moving forward with our campaign for a professionally rewarding conference,” stated James P Adams, Executive Director/CEO, Metal Powder Industries Federation. “Powder Metallurgy continues to be an innovative technology. We must ensure that all speakers are given the platform to present their work while providing an opportunity for design engineers, materials scientists, and end-users to hone their knowledge, regardless of travel restrictions that could have made participating impossible.”

One registration fee provides entrance to the co-located events. Further information and registration details are available via the event website.
