Powder Metallurgy sector on show at ceramitec 2015

September 16, 2015

The Powder Metallurgy industry is set to be well represented this year at the ceramitec 2015 exhibition in Munich, Germany, October 20 – 23, 2015. Exhibitors representing all segments of the industry will be present and there will be a dedicated Powder Metallurgy day on October 20th.  According to the event’s organiser the PM industry will present topical solutions, among other things, for Additive Manufacturing, material optimisation and process efficiency.

Materials fabricated by Powder Metallurgy are in competition with materials originating from other manufacturing methods for metal components. For certain applications, as for example in the fields of medical technology or chemistry, they even have to undergo benchmarking with other materials, for example with those of technical ceramics.

New developments for even more efficient manufacturing processes and for optimising the properties of materials will be on display. Topics such as sinter-forging technologies, short-time sintering processes, Powder Injection Moulding and Additive Manufacturing will be the focal points of the Powder Metallurgy segment.
