PMG Pennsylvania expansion underway
July 16, 2014
The Powder Metal Group (PMG), headquartered in Fussen, Germany, is expanding its facility in Philipsburg, Pennsylvania, USA, due to the company’s growing business in the region.
The $4 million development will see an additional 27,000 ft2 expansion to the company’s current 55,000 ft2 building and allows for additional manufacturing volume and further storage space. Construction for the project began in May and is expected to be complete by November 2014, according to a report in the Centre Daily Times.
“We’re hopeful to have it done in October for it to be operational in November,” stated Fredi Roos, PMG Pennsylvania President and CEO.
PMG Pennsylvania is focused on the production of components used in shock absorbers. The company employs about 100 people and is expected to add 15 jobs at the plant in the next two years.
