Penn State DuBois offers course on steam treatment for Powder Metallurgy parts

July 19, 2023

Penn State DuBois, a research university based in Pennsylvania, USA, is offering several courses intended to directly benefit those working within the region’s manufacturing industry. As part of Penn State DuBois’ Continuing & Community Education programme, and in collaboration with the North Central Pennsylvania (NCPA) Launchbox, this year’s offerings include a class on the steam treatment process for Powder Metallurgy components.

The Steam Treatment Process of Powder Metal Parts one-day course is designed to offer a better understanding of the steam treatment process that is used in Powder Metallurgy to help increase surface hardness and seal surface porosity. The programme is aimed at employees working within the sintering process and those interested in learning more about Powder Metallurgy production, handling and packaging processes.
