Open meeting of EPMA’s European Hard Materials Group to take place in Barcelona

The European Powder Metallurgy Association (EPMA) has issued an open invitation to attend the European Hard Materials Group meeting, taking place on Tuesday 11th October 2011, 10:45-12:55 at the Euro PM2011 Congress & Exhibition, Barcelona, Spain.

Chaired by Dr Steven Moseley (HILTI) and Dr Leo Prakash (UNIMERCO), the meeting agenda is as follows:


  1. Welcome and Introductions by the Chairmen (Dr. Steven Moseley / Dr. Leo Prakash)
  2. Update on the EPMA Working Groups and Projects, New FP7 Calls for Proposals, Next WINTEREV 2012, REACH Regulation

    Club Projects:

    • Stiffness Moduli of Hardmetals
    • Ultrasonic fatigue testing of hardmetals in the gigacycle regime
    • Multiscale Modelling of Fatigue Crack Growth in Hard Metals
