MPIF seminar to highlight Powder Metallurgy sintering process
July 12, 2016
The Metal Powder Industries Federation (MPIF) has announced that its popular Powder Metallurgy Sintering Seminar will be held in State College, Pennsylvania, USA, on September 27-28, 2016.
The seminar will provide a detailed look at sintering options and processes. Industry experts will discuss the sintering of parts at normal or elevated temperatures, identify how to improve properties of PM parts and troubleshoot sintering problems. Presenters will explain how to increase productivity by reducing rework and scrap as well as identifying efficiency savings in daily sintering operations.
The comprehensive two day programme includes the following presentations:
SEPTEMBER 27
- Basic PM Sintering and High-Temperature Sintering: Theory and Practices
- Use of Metallography in the Evaluation of Sintered Materials
- Advancements and Options for Conventional Sintering Furnaces
- Conventional Sintering Furnaces
- Continuous High-Temperature Sintering Furnaces
- Vacuum Sintering
- Sintering and Furnace Belts
SEPTEMBER 28
- Sintering Furnace Atmospheres
- Troubleshooting of Furnace Atmospheres for PM Sintering
- Conventional Sintering of Ferrous Metals
- Achieving High-Performance with High-Temperature Sintering
- Stainless Steel Sintering
- Sintering Processes for Nonferrous Materials
- Sintering Refractory Metal
- Sintering in Metal Injection Moulding (MIM)
- Driving Down the Costs of Sintering
