Miba Sinter Group appoints new Managing Director Sales and Marketing

Miba Sinter Group, Laakirchen, Austria, has announced that Bernd Badurek will assume the role of Managing Director Sales and Marketing of the as of February 2014. The Miba Sinter Group is a leading manufacturer of Powder Metallurgy products employing more than 1,600 members of staff globally at four production sites.

Badurek, who holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, has many years of international sales and marketing experience. Since joining Miba at the end of 2007, he held the position of Manager of the Business Unit Asia Pacific at the Suzhou, China, site for four years, followed by the position of Manager of the Business Unit BRIC, Japan and Korea, as well as various group functions. Most recently, since March 2013, he has been managing the Business Unit Asia Pacific and the Business Unit France/Italy.

Miba AG is one of Austria’s leading industrial and technology companies. Formed in Laakirchen in 1927, the high-technology group today develops and manufactures its products at more than twenty sites in eleven countries. The company specialises in engine bearings, friction materials, sintered components and coatings. In addition, Miba manufactures passive electronic components such as resistors and cooling systems which are needed, among other things, in power transmission systems. Revenue in fiscal year 2012–2013 amounted to €606.6 million, while earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) were €69.6 million.
