Miba AG, Laakirchen, Austria, has officially opened its new Miba Drivetec India (MDI) production site located in Pune, India. MDI produces friction technologies for customers such as Brakes India and John Deere in the Indian market.

The new facility is said to offer 2,600 m2 of space for production and administration, more than double its original space of 1000 m2. The expanded facility is expected to provide MDI with the capacity it requires for future growth.

Miba celebrated the opening of the new production site with a ceremony attended by customers and official representatives from Austria, including Ambassador Brigitte Öppinger-Walchshofer.
