Messer North America features new atmosphere control solutions at POWDERMET2019

Messer North America Inc., Bridgewater, New Jersey, USA, showcased two new atmosphere control solutions for metal Additive Manufacturing at POWDERMET2019, taking place in Phoenix, Arizona, USA, from June 23–26. The company also presented a paper during the technical conference on control systems for sintering atmospheres that can improve process repeatability.
Messer is one of the largest privately-owned industrial gas companies in North and South America, with over seventy production facilities in five countries. The company offers industrial gas solutions for powder manufacture, Additive Manufacturing and post-processing.
During its presentation on furnace design and atmospheres, titled ‘Controlled-Atmosphere Technologies for Sintering High-Quality Components’, Messer discussed control systems with the ability to dynamically respond to variations in the sintering atmosphere to achieve more uniform thermochemical reactions for high process repeatability. .
