June 17, 2016
The MAHLE Group’s Supervisory Board has appointed Bernd Eckl to the Management Board of the MAHLE Group, with effect from January 1, 2017. Eckl will succeed Dr Rudolf Paulik, who will retire on March 31, 2017, and take responsibility for the Engine Systems and Components business unit and for group-wide quality assurance.
Eckl, a graduate engineer, has been working for the transmission manufacturer GETRAG in Untergruppenbach, Germany, since 2000. He began his career at GETRAG as Head of Purchasing. In 2004, Eckl was appointed to the Management Board and in 2009 took over as Chief Operating Officer at GETRAG’s parent company. Since 2012, he has been responsible for global sales, business development, and corporate communications.
Dr Paulik has worked for MAHLE in various leading roles since 1993 and joined the Management Board in 2008, where in addition to quality assurance he has been responsible in particular for the Engine Systems and Components business unit. This business segment has been one of the MAHLE Group’s core competences since the company was founded.
