HIP ’14 Conference Programme published
February 11, 2014
The conference programme has just been published for HIP ’14, the 11th International Conference of Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP), Stockholm, Sweden, June 9–13 2014.
This triennial conference will focus on trends, developments and innovations in three key areas; oil and gas, power generation and aerospace. Speakers from Total, GE Oil & Gas, Areva, Rolls Royce, SNECMA, Aerojet Rocketdyne, Aker Solutions and IHI Corp are amongst those featured in the conference programme.
The conference will cover topics such as material development, production of Near Net Shape (NNS) components, part design and process modelling. Aspects related to Powder Metallurgy processing, diffusion bonding and part densification will also be included.
Hot Isostatic Pressing technology has established itself in recent decades as a competitive and proven manufacturing process for the production of complex and massive Near Net Shape components made from a wide range of metals. HIP technology is also regarded as a complementary technology for other net shape processes such as Additive Manufacturing (AM) and Metal Injection Moulding (MIM).
The event is organised by the International HIP Committee (IHC) and the Swedish Steel Producers´ Association, Jernkontoret. Full programme and registration details can be found at www.hip14.se.
