Hilti Group reports growth in all regions as sales increase significantly in 2017

Hilti Group, Schaan, Liechtenstein, has reported that its 2017 sales increased significantly to CHF 5.1 billion, a 10.8% year-on-year increase in Swiss Francs, with growth being seen throughout all business regions. The company reported 9.7% growth in local currencies in Europe, 8.5% in North America, 9.7% in Latin America and 5.3% in the Asia/Pacific region. Particularly noteworthy were year-on-year growth figures of 17.4% in Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa, with Russia reporting the strongest figures for this region.

 “We owe this milestone to our global team that is working with consistency and dedication to implement the objectives of our corporate strategy. Once again, we have launched more than sixty new products, extended our portfolio significantly and strengthened our global sales team,” commented Christoph Loos, Hilti CEO. “With this solid foundation firmly in place, we managed to make even better use of last year’s favourable market conditions. It is our intention to maintain this momentum.”

*Group sales were stated to include a growth effect of +0.8% and CHF 38 million due to the acquisition of the Oglaend System Group in August 2017.
