GKN Sinter Metals to display new sintered aluminium materials at Strategies in Light conference

February 11, 2013

GKN Sinter Metals will be exhibiting at the Strategies in Light conference, February 12-14th in Santa Clara, California, USA.

GKN Sinter Metals plans to highlight its new ‘Thermal Series’ of sintered aluminium materials with the capability of 50% higher thermal conductivity over traditional materials. GKN’s innovative process also allows for greater design freedom compared to conventional die cast and extruded products, while eliminating the need for machining. GKN’s Thermal Series materials are suitable for a range of heat sink and other heat reduction applications.

“GKN is a strong player in the automotive industry and we are excited to take our next generation heat sink material into the immensely evolving LED market and the ever growing Solid State Lighting.  We are absolutely thrilled to have the opportunity to display our technology at the Strategies in Light Conference. This is the best platform we can ask for”, stated Karl Pfluke, Regional Product and Process Centre Engineer.
