GKN Sinter Metals China receives Getrag supplier award

GKN Sinter Metals Danyang has been awarded with both an Excellent Supplier Award and a Zero PPM 2014 Award from Getrag (Jiangxi) Transmission Co., Ltd (GJT). The awards were presented at a recent Getrag Supplier Conference in Tengchong, Yunnan, China.

GJT is a market leader for transmission products in China and has had a strong business relationship with GKN Sinter Metals since 2008. GKN’s Danyang facility has previously received both Getrag’s CEO Special Award and Zero PPM 2013 Award.

“We are proud to have received yet another award from GJT in recognition of our commitment to quality. GKN Danyang delivered more than 700,000 synchronizer hubs with zero defects to GJT in 2014, and we look forward to further expand and strengthen our business relationship with our valued customer in the future,” stated Lee Sun, Vice-President of GKN Sinter Metals China.

The Danyang facility was established in 2006 and supplies leading automotive customers in China with sintered transmission parts. GKN Sinter Metals China is among the top five suppliers of the Chinese automotive Powder Metallurgy market.
