Bodycote purchases new Seco/Warwick vacuum furnace

Seco/Warwick Europe S.A. has announced that it has received an order for a new vacuum furnace from Bodycote. Seco/Warwick officials said they will have the furnace in place in the fourth quarter of 2013.

Seco/Warwick CaseMaster Evolution vacuum furnace

The 10.0 CaseMaster Evolution®T9 vacuum furnace, ordered by Bodycote, is a three chamber furnace with separate loading vestibule equipped with a 10 bar abs gas quench system, heating chamber and oil quenching vestibule. The multipurpose furnace can meet changing application needs for a variety of materials and the design allows for very flexible use as a straight through or batch unit with either oil or inert gas quenching.

Bodycote is the world’s largest provider of thermal processing services, offering heat treatment, metal joining, surface technology and Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP) to a wide range of industries including aerospace, defence, automotive, power generation, oil & gas, construction, medical and transportation.

Seco/Warwick Worldwide provides industrial metal heat treatment furnaces used in a variety of processes for material finishing and component manufacturing applications.  The Vacuum Team offers vacuum heat treating furnaces for hardening, tempering, annealing, solution heat treating, brazing, sintering, carburizing, carbonitriding, high vacuum, CVD–graphitizing and degassing.
