Bodycote issues financial results for first half 2017

Bodycote plc has issued financial results for its first half 2017. Group revenue for the six months ended July 27, 2017, was reported to be £345.7 million, up from £291 million in the same period of 2016.

The company’s Aerospace & Defence segment reported revenues of £81 million, with Civil Aerospace up 4.4% on H1 2016. In the Energy segment, revenues were reported at £27 million, with the company reporting strong Q2 growth in onshore oil & gas for North America, despite a decline elsewhere.

The Automotive segment achieved revenues of £103 million, with car and light truck revenues up by 15.5%, 5.3% of which was due to acquisitions, and General Industrial revenues were reported at £135 million, representing a recovery after three years of negative trends.

Bodycote reported an overall operating profit of £59.4 million for the quarter, an increase of 26.1% from the £47.1 million reported in H1 2016.
