GKN Sinter Metals facilities in Bonn and Radevormwald have been endorsed by a major customer after winning Paccar’s prestigious Quality Achievement Award 2013.

Each year the award is presented to suppliers that meet or exceed Paccar’s quality expectations.  GKN Bonn and GKN Radevormwald were both recognised for achieving a defect rate of 50 parts per million (PPM) or less during 2013.

“GKN has not only fulfilled but surpassed Paccar’s demanding quality requirement.  We are proud to be honoured by Paccar for this achievement and will continue to deliver the highest-quality Powder Metallurgy components for DAF trucks,” stated Jürgen Paal, Key Account Manager.

Paccar is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of commercial trucks, with brands including DAF, Peterbilt and Kenworth. GKN Sinter Metals has supplied high-performance Powder Metallurgy (PM) components for DAF commercial trucks in Europe for more than 25 years.

The broad product range includes brackets for motor-operated valves, bushings, oil pumps and gears that move the driver’s cab into an inclined position, among other GKN products that improve vehicle safety and efficiency.
