Ipsen Inc, headquartered in Illinois, USA, is scheduled to ship 10 vacuum furnaces during the month of June 2012, setting a new monthly furnace shipment record for the company.

The vacuum furnaces will be shipped to five different countries, namely USA, India, Japan, China and Ireland. The new furnaces include one of Ipsen’s Vacuum Oil Quench furnaces equipped with the company’s patented AvaC® Low Pressure Carburizing, two of the 6 bar TurboTreaters®, one large MetalMaster®, five TITAN® vacuum furnaces and the first shipment of Ipsen’s new TITAN DS debinding and sintering furnace.

Adam Tinkler, production manager for the TITAN product line stated, “Based on the backlog, shipping ten per month could be the new norm. We are making numerous improvements to our Cherry Valley production line to enable high-quality, on-time deliveries with the highest level of efficiency.”

Just missing the month of June is a VFS HIQ (Horizontal Internal Quench) internal quench vacuum furnace. The VFS HIQ Series of vacuum furnaces is engineered to offer excellent performance and ease of operation.

The vacuum furnaces to be shipped:

Vacuum Oil Quench (VOQ): Equipped with Ipsen’s patented AvaC Low Pressure Carburizing, this particular VOQ meets the customer’s various application needs. Its vacuum-tight inner door that allows the hot zone to be kept under vacuum and at temperature, while eliminating vapour migration between the two chambers, is just one of the features that makes this furnace very flexible and able to handle a multitude of thermal processes.

TurboTreaters: Ipsen’s TurboTreater is ideal for hardening, brazing, solution annealing, sintering, and tempering, as well as applying AvaC Low Pressure Carburizing. It includes a compact cooling system design that reduces gas consumption up to 40% and a load capacity of 1,500 – 10,000 lbs. (680 to 4,545 kg).

MetalMaster: MetalMaster is a multi-purpose vacuum furnace system which offers specially engineered external heat exchanger and gas blower, a choice of hot zone insulation packages, 360° gas cooling nozzles and heating elements for precise control and a selection of value-added options.

TITAN: TITAN is a self-contained, highly mobile, skid-mounted vacuum heat treat system. Its simple-to-master control system supports most languages, switches easily between units of measure, provides real-time data acquisition, trending and archiving, stores up to 1000 recipes and is available in quench pressures to 12 bar.

TITAN DS: Ipsen’s new debinding and sintering furnace upholds our standard of excellence at a cost-effective price. The furnace operates 50/60 Hz, any voltage and in more than 20 languages. Its removable hot zone optimizes cleanliness and uniformity, while its innovative protection system prevents binder build-up in pumps and piping. The TITAN DS is capable of handling very high binder content in MIM applications.

VFS HIQ: The HIQ (Horizontal Internal Quench) design provides the least restrictive gas flow path through the hot zone and multi-row heat
