3D Metrology Conference set for return to Aachen in November
July 17, 2022
This year’s 3D Metrology Conference (3DMC) is set to take place in Aachen, Germany, from November 15–17, 2022. The 3DMC is recognised as one of the most important conferences in the field of industrial measurement technology, and is being organised for the seventh time by the WZL of the RWTH Aachen in cooperation with the National Physical Laboratory (NPL), the University College London (UCL) and the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB).
The event will include a technical programme paired with an open industrial exhibition, special interest sessions and dedicated network formats. Prof Ben Hughes and Prof Robert Schmitt will moderate and organise the event as chairman and host.
The focus of the conference is on measurement technology as a driver of innovation in automation and quality assurance. On the one hand, industrial end users present successful use cases from various sectors, such as automotive engineering, aviation and the energy sector. On the other hand, internationally leading scientists will present advances in measurement technology itself, which enable new applications.
The exhibition will take place for the first time in the new machine hall of the WZL, which will allow exhibitors to present innovative use cases live and discuss them with the community. The organisers are seeking abstract submissions for both oral and poster presentations, with the deadline of September 1, 2022.
