18th Plansee Seminar programme published

The 18th Plansee Seminar will be held on the premises of the Plansee Group in Reutte, Austria from 3 – 7 June, 2013. The technical programme for the conference has now been published and is available in full on the event website.

Since its beginnings in 1952, the Plansee Seminar has been regarded as a global forum for the technical and scientific PM community to exchange ideas and keep up with the latest innovations and market trends in Refractory Metals and Hard Materials. 

This year’s opening session features the following overview presentations:

  • Leadership, Innovation, Globalization: Challenges and Opportunities in a Globalized World

    Simon-Kucher & Partners, Germany
  • Global Trends in the PM Refractory Metals Industry

    H.C. Starck Inc., USA
  • Global R&D Trends in the P/M Hard Metals Industry

    Sandvik Mining R&D Rock Tools, Sweden
  • A Sustainable Pathway for the Recovery and Recycling of Refractory Metals: A Strategy for the Management of Critical Materials

    Worcester Polytechnic Institute, USA

In addition to an rich international technical programme, Special Interest Sessions focus on “Hard Materials – Powder Production and Recycling,” “Hard Materials – Trends in Processing” and “Refractory Metals – Powder Production and Recycling.”
