William Rowland, owned by Amalgamated Metals Corp (AMC), has completed its £10 million expansion and relocation to the company’s new headquarters in Barnsley, South Yorkshire, UK.

Recognised as one of the oldest metal trading businesses in the UK, William Rowland states that the expansion represents a significant step in the growth and ‘future-proofing’ of the 200-year-old high purity metals business.

The company relied heavily on its sister facility in the West Midlands, UK, during the transition, to ensure there was no disruption to inward or outward supplies.

According to William Rowland, the £10 million investment will enable the business to remove previous constraints and restructure in order to address its key product segments of refined metals, speciality alloys, metal powders and solders & alloys.
