A web seminar taking place on 1st June, organised by LMT GmbH & Co. KG, will look at innovations in die and mould making technology. LMT is a manufacturer of precision tools headquartered in Germany.

Included in the seminar will be examples of innovations in die and mould making, such as the Nanomold Gold coating for indexable inserts. This development makes it possible to increase tool life by roughly one third. At the same time, very uniform and much slower wear along the cutting edge guarantees consistent machining quality over a long period. This offers two major benefits at once: higher quality and higher productivity.

The new coating represents another significant advance for LMT Kieninger’s extensive range of die and mould making tools, which includes not only numerous indexable insert tool systems, but also one-piece solid carbide tools.

During their live presentation as part of the web seminar, LMT experts will outline the most important factors for machining in the die and mould making sector and show which tool systems can provide performance increases with different geometries and materials.
