VDM Metals International GmbH, Werdohl, Germany, has named Holger Arnold as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO), succeeding Rolf Schencking. Arnold previously worked as the Head of Production at VDM’s location in Unna.

Schencking served as CTO of VDM Metals from April 2018, and departs the role in line with the agreed expiry of his contract. “We thank Rolf Schencking for the very good work he has done and wish him all the best for the future, both in business and in his private life,” stated Dr Niclas Müller, Chief Executive Officer.

Holger Arnold has been working with VDM Metals since July 2016. Previously, the graduate metallurgist and materials engineer (RWTH Aachen) held a management position at Hüttenwerke Krupp Mannesmann (HKM) in Duisburg for over ten years.

“Holger Arnold knows our company and the special characteristics of our products. In recent years, he has shown that operational development and cultural change can complement each other perfectly – even in times of crisis.”
