VBN Components, based in Uppsala, Sweden, has joined the Centre for Additive Manufacture Metal (CAM2), at Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg, Sweden, as a partner. The company had the opportunity to make a presentation titled “Redefining wear resistance by Additive Manufacturing” to participants at the centre’s General Assembly.

The Vinnova-funded centre develops powder and new, improved materials in synergy pre-manufacturing preparation, methods for increased productivity and robust post-processing. The centre coordinates core competencies in Powder Metallurgy, materials technology, process development and product design, providing a breeding ground for new forefront research and new solutions in industry.
