Union Process, Inc., Akron, USA, a manufacturer of particle size reduction and dispersing equipment, has announced the introduction of a new circulation conversion system for its SD1 laboratory Attritor. The circulation conversion system allows customers to configure their SD1 Laboratory Batch Attritor to operate as a Q Laboratory Circulation Attritor.

“Being able to convert a batch processing system easily into a circulation processing system is a great solution for customers who may require that flexibility. The cost to offer this to our customers is a fraction of what it would be to purchase two separate mills,” stated Emery Li, Sales Manager at Union Process.

Union Process is the inventor and developer of Attritor technology and manufactures wet and dry grinding mills as well as horizontal bead mills. The SD-1 Attritor is a lab mill designed to meet lab grinding and dispersing needs in either wet or dry, continuous or batch. It allows easy and precise scale-up to production-size equipment with reproducible results. It is also suitable for small production or pilot plant work.
