Tier-one automotive supplier recognises GKN Sinter Metals with Regional Quality Award

GKN Sinter Metals has been recognised by tier-one automotive supplier Jatco’s Regional Quality Award for its efforts in the supplier’s Japanese business. Based in Japan, Jatco supplies the automotive industry and manufactures automotive transmissions, and has been partnered with GKN since 2009.
The company presents its Regional Quality Award yearly to suppliers which supply products with a defect rate of zero parts per million over a fifteen month period. This is the first time GKN has received the award.
GKN’s representative locations for the award include Osaka, Japan and Danyang, China. The award reflects a range of products manufactured and delivered in Danyang and executed through Osaka.
Accepting the award at Jatco’s annual supplier conference in Japan, Leo Zhang, GKN Sinter Metals’ Sales and Marketing Manager, commented, “This is a great encouragement for all of us who are working endlessly to deliver on increased customer requests.”
