Team expanded at Atlas Pressed Metals

Atlas Pressed Metals, a manufacturer of Powder Metallurgy products and associated services based in DuBois, Pennsylvania, USA, has announced the appointment of a new Plant Manager and Quality Administrator.

Chris Sconzo is Atlas Pressed

Metals’ new Plant Manager

Chris Sconzo has joined the company in the role of Plant Manager, bringing more than 25 years of manufacturing, engineering and leadership experience, including plant management, product marketing and senior level management. Sconzo most recently served as plant manager at OSRAM Sylvania for the Pennsylvania region sites.

Sconzo will be responsible for managing the operations side of the business including production, engineering, quality and purchasing.

“We recognised Chris’ skillset in driving continuous improvement culture, with his hands-on experience in  value stream mapping, Kaizen, Six Sigma, Hoshin Kanri and total productive maintenance,” stated Jude Pfingstler, president of Atlas Pressed Metals. “Hiring Chris is strategic to Atlas’ goals to empower results-driven teams to ensure top quality and superior customer service.”

Diane Laubacker will take the

position of Quality Administrator

Atlas Pressed Metals also announced that Diane Laubacker will join the company’s quality department as Quality Administrator. Laubacker will be responsible for document control and will serve as one of the PM component manufacturer’s internal quality auditors.

Laubacker has bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Pittsburgh and is the sixth member of the Pfingstler family to join the organisation. “It is wonderful being back with Atlas and seeing how much they’ve grown over the past 7 years,” Laubacker stated. “It’s an honour and a delight to be part of such a strong organisation. I am excited to see what the future holds.”
