Submissions deadline draws near for Tungsten2020

The submissions deadline is drawing near for the Metal Powder Industries Federation (MPIF)’s 10th International Conference on Tungsten, Refractory & Hardmaterials (Tungsten2020), which will take place in Montréal, Canada, from June 27–July 1, 2020.

The conference aims to address recent developments in the refractory and hardmetals field and will encompass refractory and hardmetal processing, microstructure, properties and applications. The technical programme co-chairmen Animesh Bose, FAPMI, Desktop Metal; Robert J Dowding, U.S. Army Research Laboratory; and John L Johnson, FAPMI, Elmet Technologies LLC, request abstracts covering any aspect of tungsten, refractory and hardmaterials.

Suggested topics for Tungsten2020 paper submissions include:

  • Refractory & hardmaterials
  • Powder production
  • Processing/properties/microstructure/performance 
  • Mechanical behaviour
  • Computational approaches
  • Systems integration
