STPMF2015 Powder Metallurgy symposium heads to Nancy, France
February 17, 2015
The Powder Metallurgy Committee of the French Society for Metallurgy and Materials (SF2M) is organising STPMF2015, a three day symposium on Powder Metallurgy, at the Ecole de Mines de Nancy, France, April 8-10.
The event is held every six years when the timings of two meetings, Science et Technologie des Poudres (STP) and Poudres et Matériaux Frittés (PMF), coincide to form the joint STPMF symposium.
The programme will include plenary presentations, oral sessions and posters. Some 120 abstracts have been received for the symposium and extended abstracts will be published in the journal Recent Advances in Chemical Engineering.
A one day course “Introduction to Powder Metallurgy” has been organised to precede the event on April 7. The course offers a basic understanding of the Powder Metallurgy process and should enable participants to better understand the themes of the STPMF 2015 symposium.
