Still time to register for PMAI’s Powder Metallurgy Short Course

The Powder Metallurgy Association of India (PMAI)’s popular Powder Metallurgy Short Course (PMSC 17) will run from September 25 – 28, 2017, at the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, India.

The PMSC has an extensive curriculum covering the complete portfolio of PM technologies and offers a full daily schedule from morning to evening. According to PMAI, participants will have the opportunity to acquire an in-depth understanding of the science and practise of PM. On the final day of the course, participants will be tested on the course content and issued a certificate.

The course will cover the following topics:

  • Powder production
  • Characterisation of powders & presses
    Consolidation of powders
  • Design and fabrication of dies and tooling
    Sintering
  • Characterisation and evaluation of sintered component
  • Powder Injection Moulding (MIM + CIM)
  • Sintering furnaces and atmospheres
  • Heat Treatment & other downstream processes & equipment
  • Quality in PM manufacturing
  • Porous PM materials
  • Advanced ceramics and composites
  • Aerospace and defence materials
  • PM in nuclear engineering and energy generation
  • PM in biomaterials
  • Friction materials
  • Additive Manufacturing
