Solar Manufacturing announces site expansion
March 6, 2013
Solar Manufacturing Inc. has announced the expansion of its manufacturing site with the addition of a 22,000 ft2 (2000 m2) facility. Located approximately two miles from the current Solar Manufacturing corporate facility, phase one of the expansion has now been completed and includes 10,000 ft2 of manufacturing space and 1,000 ft2 of office space.
Phase two of the expansion, which will add an additional 10,000 ft2 of manufacturing and 1,000 square feet of office space, will be completed and operational by mid-summer 2013.
“This new building is the perfect complement to our original 50,000 ft2 facility. Our primary need for increased space is to accommodate our growing hot zone rebuild business,” stated James Nagy, President of Solar Manufacturing.
“The new facility will also be used for the fabrication and assembly of the electrical cabinets used on our furnaces. Eventually, we will assemble and manufacture the smaller furnaces of our overall vacuum furnace product line there as well,” added Nagy.
Solar Manufacturing designs and manufactures all types of vacuum heat treating and brazing furnaces and offers replacement hot zone and spare parts for various vacuum furnace brands.
