Solar Atmospheres Southeast offers wide range of vacuum processing options

Solar Atmospheres has announced that its newest facility in Greenville, South Carolina, USA can now handle a wide range of vacuum processing operations. The company states that it has furnaces suited for small lots and development cycles up to a large, 24 ft (7.3 m) long, vacuum chamber capable of processing up to 50,000 lbs (22,680 kg) at 2400°F (1315°C).
Solar Atmospheres operates to AS9100 and Nadcap quality systems to ensure correct processing of customers’ products. A wide range of processing options, including vacuum carburizing and cryogenic processing, are onsite as well as a metallurgical testing laboratory to provide product and process validation from surface hardness testing to microstructure evaluation.
