Solar Atmospheres’ South Carolina facility awarded GE Aviation approval

Solar Atmospheres’ facility in Greenville, South Carolina, USA, has been awarded GE Aviation approval. With this approval, all of the company’s facilities are said to now be an option for customers with GE Aviation requirements for vacuum heat treating and brazing services.

With the ability to support vacuum thermal processing needs ranging from development cycles to 22,680 kg (50,000 lb) loads at temperatures of up to 1315°C (2400°F), Solar Atmospheres provides AS9100 and Nadcap quality accredited heat treatments.

Steve Prout, president of Solar Atmospheres’ Greenville facility, stated, “We are proud to, once again, provide our customers in the Southeastern US with another regional option for aerospace vacuum thermal processes, saving them time and money, while continuing to deliver the high level of quality required.”
