Steppe Metal Powder (SMP), Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, has concluded a copper powder sales agreement with Global Mongolia, a trading company operating in the EU. According to SMP, the sales agreement marks the company’s first trading trial to the EU area.

Established in 2017, SMP is Mongolia’s first metal powder production plant. It produces high-grade water atomised copper and copper alloy powder sourced from Achit Ikht, a long-time member of the London Metal Exchange (LME). SMP’s clients use its bronze, copper and brass powders in a multitude of applications including brake pads, self lubricating bearings, welding and brazing electrodes, and carbon brushes.
