Sinterite installs customised sintering furnace at major Asian PM parts manufacturer
May 28, 2013
Sinterite, a Gasbarre Furnace Group Company, has announced the recent commissioning of a 36 inch 9 zone Mesh Belt Sintering Furnace to a prominent PM parts manufacturer located in Southeast Asia.
The furnace, designed to the user’s specialised requirements for a proprietary sinter/heat treatment process, is equipped with three heating chambers to manage three different processes that include, delubrication, sintering, and post-sintering heat treatment.
The delubrication system utilises Sinterite’s advanced design Accelerated Delubrication System (ADS). The sintering zones utilise silicon carbide muffle sections in a gas tight heating chamber. The specially configured cooling system is equipped with the Sinterite HyperCooler rapid cooling system. The furnace operates at a maximum temperature of 1200°C and is capable of net production output of 770 kg per hour.
Located in St. Marys, PA, Sinterite specialises in designing and manufacturing custom continuous belt and batch furnaces for sintering, steam-treating, annealing, brazing, and heat-treating applications. Sinterite’s design includes alloy and ceramic muffles, powder-handling equipment, custom fabrication products, and the exclusively manufactured HyperCooler, an in-line cooling system, used for sinter-hardening.
