Seco Tools launches Seco Assistant app

Seco Tools, LLC, Troy, Michigan, USA, a division of Seco Tools AB, Fagersta, Sweden, has launched Seco Assistant, the company’s new product information app.
Seco Assistant’s machining calculator provides the user with turning, milling and holemaking data for any brand including feeds, speeds and material removal rate.
The ‘Tool Comparison’ function gives users Seco tool recommendations and alternatives to other manufacturer’s inserts, while the ‘Suggest’ function helps users to find the right tooling option and cutting strategies for specific jobs.
Users of the Seco assistant app can also search for products by item, number, designation, or grade or simply scan the code on the packaging.
The company explains that the app is developed for convenience and ease of use, with a small download size and a clear interface. Crucially, if users are without an internet connection they can also search for Seco products or use the data calculators offline.
