Sandvik included in sustainability index

Sandvik AB, Stockholm, Sweden, reports that it has been included as a member of the FTSE4Good Index Series in its semi-annual review 2020. Launched in 2001, the FTSE4Good Index Series is a series of benchmark and tradable indexes for Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) investors which aims to identify companies that meet globally-recognised corporate sustainability standards.
The FTSE4Good criteria is applied to the FTSE Developed Index Series, which covers twenty-three developed countries and twenty emerging countries. The index is designed to measure the performance of companies demonstrating strong ESG practices. Sandvik states that it has been a constituent for sixteen consecutive years.
“This is yet another very positive evidence of the results of our continuous efforts in developing sustainability through our products, services and our own operations,” commented Håkan Sundström, acting Head of Sustainable Business at Sandvik.
