Ricardo issues call for papers for its Virtual Engineering 2020 conference
September 17, 2019
Global strategic engineering and environmental consultancy Ricardo plc, Shoreham-by-Sea, West Sussex, UK, has announced that it will for the first time hold its Virtual Engineering 2020 conference in March 25–26, 2020, at its headquarters.
According to the company, Virtual Engineering 2020 will explore current trends and potential future developments in product engineering as the increased use of virtual toolchains, as opposed to discrete computer-aided engineering (CAE) applications, becomes essential for future vehicle development.
A key focus will be on Virtual Product Development (VPD), which combines a right-first-time design approach with more efficient physical testing by eliminating prototype hardware stages in the development process.
Ricardo has issued a call for papers on the following topics of interest:
- New propulsion and powertrain systems
- Fuel cell analysis
- Integrated co-simulation
- Real-time predictive analysis
- Complete vehicle systems modelling
- Emissions predictions
- Thermal management
- NVH
- Virtual calibration
- Process optimisation
- Simulation process and data management
The deadline for paper submissions is October 25, 2019.
Further information about the event is available via the company website.
