Registration opens for WINTEREV 2022

October 26, 2022

The European Powder Metallurgy Association (EPMA) has announced that registration is now open for WINTEREV 2022, scheduled to take place in Aachen, Germany, on December 13–14. It will be hosted by IWM Aachen University’s Skylounge; as space is limited, places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

This two-day event is a series of meetings organised by the EPMA’s European Hard Materials Group (EuroHM). It aims to bring together experts in a particular theme for an in-depth discussion of technical issues at a pre-competitive level. WINTEREV objectives target technical issues through workshops focusing on an area of importance to both research and industrial communities. Each meeting aims to review research objectives in light of industry requirements. Where appropriate, standards activities are included in the review. The topics for debate are sought through questionnaires and other consultation exercises.

The EPMA states that WINTEREV 22 will mainly emphasise advanced characterisation techniques for hard materials, as well as other important topics such as modelling, surface modification technologies, material properties in harsh conditions, etc. This event marks the return of the event, which was postponed in 2019 due to the pandemic.

Registrations are welcome before December 7. Further details are available here.
