Registration opens for EPMA’s Sinter & Press Seminar 2020 in Belgium
December 11, 2019
The European Powder Metallurgy Association (EPMA) has announced that registration is now open for its Press & Sinter Seminar 2020, which will take place at the Thon Hotel Brussels City Centre, Brussels, Belgium, on April 1, 2020.
According to the EPMA, political and stakeholder views are pushing towards a wider use of electric or hybrid vehicles and new supply chains, sometimes from completely different sectors, are being established in competition to PM.
To maintain a strong position as suppliers to OEMs and, identify opportunities, the EPMA states that PM companies must make progress in many areas, including fully understanding global life cycle assessments, investigating the use of PM materials such as Soft Magnetic Composites and Functional Materials in the new drive systems, improving weight reduction and noise through the use of PM parts, and improving PM’s performance to produce new heavy load applications such as transmission gears.
The Press & Sinter Seminar runs in conjunction with the EPMA’s 33rd General Assembly seminar which takes place from April 1–2. The registration deadline is March 11, 2020.
Further information and seminar fees are available via the association’s website.
