Recovering waste heat from high temperature exhaust streams
October 18, 2011
The Ben Franklin Technology Partners of North-eastern Pennsylvania (BFTP/NEP) is an award-winning, US state-funded economic development organization that helps early-stage technology firms and established manufacturers with funding and other resources to help them prosper through innovation.
BFTP reports that it has awarded funding to Carpenter Technology Corp., of Reading, Penna., USA, to complete an investigation into possible methods for recovering waste heat from high temperature exhaust streams during the manufacturer of specialty cast-wrought and powder metallurgy alloys and titanium alloys. The funding will provide technical support for engineering analysis of the proposed cycle turbine for power generation.
